€123456 ???

Normally that just means offers.

Y’know on gumtree when you see something that looks like a good price but it’s £1234…
Ah! I was confused - thought I could swap my house for a set of cranks

Hi. Are the crank fixing bolts also a self extraction bolt? I've not had a set in front of me ever, but I have a friend whose father has a set, but is mechanically lacking and would like to remove them for some maintenance. Any help would be appreciated. - Vince

"Original not from China".
Have you seen copies of these somewhere? I'd not be surprised, given the retail market for them 🤔

All the best,

Just unscrew the 6mm Allen key bolts like any self-extraction bolts.
Make sure that the inner ring chainring bolts are lined up with the machined grooves on the RH cup so that they clear the cup as the crank is pulled off.
No problem with the LH crank, just unscrew it.

The axle and bearing can be pressed/knocked out, or unscrew the cups using the correct Coda MMC tool. In an emergency, a standard Shimano external cup spanner will work, but can mark the cups, so best not done if the cups are pristine. I have the Coda MMC tool if needed.

Keep track of any shims between the bearings and cups, as they control the sideways float of the axle.

All the best,
