Anyone got any experience with these particular rims?

Looking to put a retro Gravel™ bike together, I've got a relatively low mileage pair of these laced to STX hubs. I did a bit of research and found that they were considered very durable and tough, although the narrow internal width might be an issue with modern tyres.

Ideally I'd like to run some fairly wide rubber on them, 36+.

Is that going to be out of the question?

In the tire/rim width charts the optimal width is usually between 1.4 and 2 times the inner rim width but I'd say 2.5x would still be safe. Schwalbe used to recommend tires up to 39mm on 16mm rims, but I could not find the old chart on their site.
