Campagnolo 50th anniversary group

I read up thread that the 50th was heavier than the Super Record group, how so?

Bought the pedals and the bottom bracket for 200, well chuffed! I've already got the chainset and the derailleurs, so just a hunt for the brakes and the seat post

I guess gold (if it is pukka gold?) is heavier than steel/aluminium/titanium
