Campagnolo 1020, Record rd. Play in the parallelogram

With the parallelogram tension spring released there's some vertical play when twisting up and down at the knuckles. How tight these were when new? The plates/knuckles don't look too worn at the pivot points.

one can either live with it or replace the mech

repair is more trouble/cost than replacement
