I picked up this 1993 Specialized HardRock locally and was amazed at the superb condition when I saw it. I took it home yesterday and spent less than 30 mins cleaning it and below is what it looks like. It has the original spec down to the sadddle and tyres as far as I can tell and everything works as it should. It is the 20-inch frame. There are are couple of small tears in the back of the saddle and some very minor paint chips from storage but that's it, otherwise it could have been brought home from the Wandsworth Evans bike shop a couple of weeks ago rather than 32 years ago!
I would love to keep it since it looks so cool but I literally have no room for it and I promised myself I would only keep one Stumpjumper as my Specialized MTB ( I have three so I have two of those to sell 96 M2s, if you are interested.)
This is a cheap way for someone to have a quite pristine original 90s MB for little money. I am looking for £60 collected from Winchester or I could meet a halfway if not too far. That's less than a tank of petrol for a 1990s icon!
