Cable Disks.

I wanted to run a front disc set up and keep the levers the same so researched and bought the BB7's.

-Take a long time to settle in.
-Wear so you have to adjust them like a rim brake.
-Noisy as hell wet.....and it's wet here. (maybe if you live in California)

I really didn't think they were worth all the work and now run hydro front with miss match levers.
 
Wouldn't use anything other than BB7s disc-wise unless I moved to somewhere a lot more alpine where my arms might start hurting...!
 
Avid's BB series brakes are every bit as good as most hydraulic brake systems.

Still like V's and canti's though for XC work. I also like Hope's hydraulics too. Simpley any brake that stops me quickly is a good one for me.
 
I've now bought a 'as new' BB7 from eBay and am actually really looking forward to trying it!
