Why we discussing hydraulic disc brakes?

My 2p.

Shimamo xt and xtr, magura marta work great and easy to bleed.

The type requiring syringe to bleed eg avid cr formula r1 work great but a pita to bleed. Also if left standing for a while will lock up needing a bit of fluid out, r1 are particularly bad for this. They also use car brake fluid that over time will remove paint from the lever and calliper.



Anyeay back on topic which vs did you buy????

I got a couple of sets of Deore, will be fitting them this weekend hopefully

you can't go wrong with Deore.

I must admit the original cantilevers looked so much better, V's just don't do much for the look :|

I have 2 bikes with V brakes, but the other 4 (at the moment :roll: ) are running various Shimano cantis.
Even Alivio ones work well if you set them up ok.
