Brooks Saddles

Didn't really know where to post this but, as I'm thinking of getting one for my soon to be tweaked retro Saracen, it may as well go here.
Does anyone use one? I'm planning a long distance ride and thought the earlier I get one the better to run it in so to speak.
Which model to go for? Most of the miles will be on roads and I'm not keen on the look of the sprung ones.
I use Selle Itallia Turbomatic IIIs on all my bikes at the moment.

What are your thoughts?

i would go for this one but it takes a while to brake it in,..

A big chunk of time away yet. How painful is the breaking in process? Defiant, that is a good looking saddle. Is it good for longer rides?

I've got a budget b17 on my town fixed gear (25 quid from wiggle - those were the days!), I've been riding it for 6 months or so, and to be honest, I only got a slight sore bum on the first two or three rides. It's honey, though, apparently they're softer than the darker colours though, as they've had less treatment?

Honey B17 for me too with no discomfort at all and I can now use it without cycling shorts.

get a pre-aged one, cuts out half the breaking in time! I've got brooks on two of mine, a swift and a swallow, both with Ti rails. They were not pre aged and took the best part of 6 months to get comfy, after 10 years the swift is really good now, just another 8 to go for the swallow
