Never had a proper leather brooks so I can't compare them but I am liking my cambrium. Only done rides up to 3 hours so far but finding it really comfy. The finger press test doesn't bode well as there's no padding but once you're sitting on it, the rubber hull flexes and supports at the same time, almost like a hammock. Mine's on a MTB and I don't know how well the surface texture would survive a wet muddy winter but for a touring bike it'll be fine.
Only bad thing so far is the loss of one of the screw covers after only a few rides. Seems a common occurrence going by online experience. Brooks are sending me a replacement but they should be thread locked at the factory, especially at the price. Which brings me to the opinion splitter. There are a lot of other good saddles at a lot cheaper price and a lot of much lighter saddles in the same price range. Mine was for a made to measure frame and was worth it to me on that build, but whether I'd buy another one for a normal build?
