So.... better get a thread started.
Last week I was helping unload the van of all the donated bikes we had just collected from a cellar in a Scarborough property, most of the bikes coming out were the usual low end rusty pieces of cr*p and then this was passed down for the scrap pile, I immediately said 'I'm having that!', couldnt believe it.... a Bromwich. Boss man came down and I asked him what he wanted for it considering it had a stuck seatpost, terrible paint, corroded in rack bolts and half a bottom bracket cup, he looked it up and down and said take it but get the rack off it for the shop please.
Question for the people who know then, is there a Bromwich model lineup? weve all heard of the Cyclone but what is this? it has a forward facing seatclamp whereas the advert with the Cyclone on has a rear facing seatclamp. it has rear rack mounts but no eyelets front or rear for mudguards and only one set of bottle mounts so I dont think this is a touring build, shine some light guru's.
took 2 nights to get that seatpost out, some freeze-yer-nuts off for the bolts and the cyclo tool from work for the bracket cup.
at first I thought the paint might clean up but it is definately too far gone, sod patina guys this is definately getting new paint and decals.
