Great thread. I hope to add my frame to the discussion when I get it refinished.
Interestingly, I think American brands of steel frames had an inherent rarity factor in the UK, coupled with clever marketing kudos (ie journalists) they commanded a higher price tag. No doubt UK builders ran with the geometry & sizing, but it was indutry standard accross all the Big brands mass-producing in Taiwan anyhow.

Now i Dont really care whether this frame was made as JMCs team bike or another HARDISTY team member, this is an original race frame, built for the team using Columbus Genius Tubing. HANDBUILT. RACE BRED. And all here in good old Great Britain.
I am totally shocked that no one bought it.

I was going to wait 'till I had all the parts I wanted, but was encouraged to 'go public' after seeing this thread The paint is in great condition and won't need any work doing to it
