Lol I had one of these had XT groupo on it bought it from Asda had it for about a year until it got pinched from outside my mates house. Wasn't a bad bike I remember it was pretty pricey thouh think I paid nearly a grand for it.

Yeah I remember them, thought they looked pretty cool at the time...

Didn't British Eagle make an alu/carbon bike as well, where the main tubes were raw carbon, bonded into the alu? A mate of mine had one BITD and it was sooooooo light.

yep little bike shop in our asda only lasted about 18 months though. The Boss was basically the dearest bike in the shop. I think I got it on the never never but paid it out about 6 months later. When it got lifted I bought a Raleigh quantum dynatech with the insurance payout.

it was just so much bigger than anything at the time, they do look pretty puny by todays standard!

my little brother had a 24" wheel kids version. weighed a ton!

They were a bunch of framebuilders who worked for Falcon/Coventry Eagle but were unhappy about making BSOs so all moved to Wales to build better bikes.

They made an excellent tourer.
