Fitting some longer travel forks to my bike and I need a longer hydraulic brake hose, current one is a tad too short as it Is!
Banjo fittings look like they can be undone and reused? Is most hydraulic hose the same diameter etc?
Just after some plain black hose, 1 metre is more than enough, where's best to buy from?
Brakes are Giant MPH, so not worth spending ££'s on.

Re:

It depends on the brake. If you have removable hose fittings on both ends, you can get away with just buying some hose. You will more than likely need olives, crush washers or whatever the mph brakes use to seal the system.

If you have an end with a pre-fitted/crimped Banjo then you'll need to either get the correct hose with the crimped part fitted in a length long enough for you, or you can buy kits that replace the crimped end (well both ends), that come with all the fittings allowing you to use any hose.

I bought a kit and hose for some brakes a while ago, I think it was from superstar, but I'm sure jagwire and others do the same thing.

Re:

Hose fittings look to be removable, hadn't thought about olives, wonder if they're the same as Shimano?
Guess I'll just have to take it apart and see what's what.
OR maybe now would be a good time to upgrade the brakes?
