brake guide

Bought a 'project' kona-lavadome '92 intending to use as a project/commuter bike.

Was misguided by the seller but I was stupid too and missed an obvious issue with the back brake (see photo). Any ideas where I can get a suitable brake guide? I realise the brakes (and other parts) were non original but thought I would do up at my leisure whilst using the bike - but would prefer to do so with working rear brake!

Re:

What you need is one of these. It clamps around the top tube where the zip ties are and provides a proper secure cable stop for the V-brake cabling.

I purchased this one for a project that has since been abandoned rendering it surplus to my needs. Besides, looking at that pic it seems like your needs are greater than mine

Drop me a PM if you want to sort something out.

Couldn't you also fit something to the rack mount, something along the lines of an adjuster from an old brake or c-clip? Thinking as I walk so probably a terrible idea.

Looks good. I guess that will only work on cross bar not the seat post. Had hoped to find original but this is looking like a pretty good and cheap fix.

got one on my explosif.
