Brake boss thread size..Kona

Anyone know what the thread size would be on a 92 Kilauea brake boss? One of mine is proving a handful trying to mount the can'ti. I don't want to force it too much and risk snapping the boss off. So I'd like to get a tap and just clean it out. Diameter is easy enough to suss but the pitch??

Standard M6 like every other canti/vbrake boss.

You could chamfer the end of a good bolt to clean out but by bit, get a spoke in there and get any sort out first, earbud etc... Whatever is handy.

If you're lucky there may be a wide gap behind to help you get in there.

Also just use a shorter bolt if it is only a few mm's you need.

Thanks a lot. In the end some copper grease and a bit of in and out with one of the bolts slowly cleared it!
