It's been months since we had some banter on BoTM so bravo chaps.

Interesting discussion though. Where do you draw the line? A lot of us take our projects to LBS' at some point. We even send parts away to professionals to repaint or repair.

Should we also challenge those builds?

Personally no, a bike is a bike is a bike. If it's been brought back to life I don't care who helped as long as it's a top job.

Let's see what the final vote says.

Loving the job on getting that rust off, what method do you use?

The mechs were put in an ultra-sonic cleaner for a few minutes, then a couple of minutes on a polishing machine, then degreased.
Pretty good for something 30 years old.
