Sorry mate, love the bike, but remember rule #15 http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/BoTM_Rules

Think you entered it in a normal and a special month allready...

Re:

Thought it looked familiar

FWIW , it does show signs of real use though , unlike the Brodie . No offence intended , but one stone chip ?

Mike

another one for some discussion....entered before in a normal month (April 2013) but it has changed a bit since the "real patina state"...still has a lot of patina though. If not allowed, i have no problem to withdrawn it.

so: Tigerns 1993 Klein Adroit Mardi Gras

Since then and as alluded to in this thread already, each one of us has the power to decide whether that becomes a reality: through our vote. Apologies if you already knew and no offence to Nick, but none of his / their machines have won BoTM and most months there is an entry from the Pro's Closet. I'm not suggesting there's a secret conspiracy of votes - unlike others! - as I prefer to think that the majority of us are grown up enough to vote with our heads. And on that basis, it appears even with a dream bike, if we don't like it, it won't win.

The dude seems passionate and articulate about old Mtn. bikes. Also, his projects are nice and he takes pretty pictures.

Like Al above, I wasn't sure what I thought at first, but reading his posts you can sense the passion. I think it was a BOTM competition where he dressed up in some stupid outfit for a halloween picture to enter in the comp that persuaded me.

Hope that it is ok to post my "beater"?

Nice hub yeah, but how is that front tire working out on the "trails?"

Mike

If you look through the pics in the link, the Brodie is very well used with plenty of Patina.

Re:

Yes , just had a look

Wouldn't it have been better to have a better pic in the entry in that case ?

Just a thought , like I say , it's just an observation

LOL! I got excited when I saw a category that one of my bikes could participate. Guess I threw it on backwards. Now corrected.

Those that have Pro Mechanics.

This I can confirm is very much untrue ;)

It's not their fault my bullseye cranks fall off every ride... They weren't even born in '88.

In response to the conversation above: I understand where u are coming from, this isn't the first time we have had that conversation.

I trust that over time, actions and bikes you will see that I am here for the love of the sport.

I am very thankful every day and blessed to have my dream job.

Vote for the bike that turns your crank. If the botm votes never tally in our favor than that's how the cookies crumble. I'll keep building bikes and sharing the pieces of history we are working hard to bring out of the "closets".

Ride on,
Nick
