It's not got a fleas chance in hell of winning but i'll throw my 96 LTS DH in anyway :)

Pictured at start of the year, currently stripped for a retro rebuild, wont be commuting in it again so light brackets will not go back on

This has been in readers rides for a bit so give it a airing. Bought it new in '92 and rode, raced, changed it till about '97/'98 so it has some interesting parts on it even got its own little spy camera feature in Oct '96

Sorry about the size of pictures its the first time I have posted pictures myself

 How does that not win by default!?

Is it just me or does this seem to be "ugly bike month".

As far as I'm concerned this should be the criteria for a "GT" month (I'm not an expert, but I've sold them for a very long time):

NO RTS's!!!

Zaskar/Zaskar LE/Xizang/Psyclone/early LTS
Judy SL/Mag 21 SL Ti
Flite saddle
Kore/Ringle/Syncros bar or stem or seatpost combo
Wheels: if not spokes, then Spin
Stem: longer than 100mm
Handlebars: if riser, then short rise
NO BAR ENDS ON RISER BARS
No disk brakes, especially if only on front
No dual-crown forks unless STS-DH or LOBO

If you have a bike that's built like Julie Furtado's rig then you win automatically

Recent history proven that not always a replica win a BOTM.

I do agree with you in some aspects, but totally desagree in others. Isn´t an RTS a GT? Was it not the first full suspension bike GT ever made? I think an RTS is way more retro than an LTS or an STS. I have an LTS-DH, an STS-DH, a Lobo-DH but in my personal opinion, the only one that should enter in this competition is the RTS.

Ugly? I respect that, it´s your opinion. ;)

I do think that a Xizang or a Psyclone , with full M900 and a Mag 21 SL TI would be a probable winner, but only a few lucky guys have them, and they didn´t entered them yet. But does that mean you shouldn´t enter your Avalanche?

This seems an "every month discussion", and though is understandible, it also has nothing to do with the BOTM spirit. Doesn´t need to be bling and high end to be a proper old school... ;)

Cheers, mate!

on GT full sussers, there are a few RTS's that look good to me, as shown above, however on the whole im with the GT's are fugly brigade. The only general exception for me would be the STS...which I could drool over for hours!

The whole triple triangle thing of the hardtails does nothing for me either.

Unless a blinder pops up, im voting STS this month :)
