Did anyone BITD ever keep their bike exactly as bought new anyhow?

Things wear out or break. Sometimes bikes were sold with a few inferior parts to bring them in to a particular price catagory - most folk upgraded these parts (usually with more recent parts).
Let's not make the retrobike scene like the concourse car scene!

I voted for the Steve Potts, its immaculate but still has a lot of soul. Yeah it looks a bit odd, not your standard MTB but its like the missing link, its a great example of how MTB's developed. I love it.

Defenately the RC100... best looking bike I have seen in here so far (well, since my Rascal isn't done yet hehehe), awesome colour scheme and nice Mavic parts. I just love it how the "fork-headset-stem-handlebar" setup is done.
