I read the few posts of tallpaul v neil battle and it got boring but it did drag on a few more pages, which it was unneeded really.

With the winner only getting 16% of the vote, and it being so close, I wonder if BoTM would benefit from a two-stage vote i.e. open nominations for seven days, poll all entrants for two weeks then take the top three bikes through to a final poll. It would certainly be interesting...

Not reading much of the follow up to this suggestion, but I quite like it (would have meant a possible win for my RC200 that came second by 1 vote iirc, but seemed to be mentioned by many as a second choice )

Proportional representation is the way forwards!

But no it wasn't, although I can't speak for tallpaul, I don't believe it was for him, either. I think it was simply an exchange of opinions on the subject, which: 1) you didn't have to read, so it's a bit silly to complain about and 2) you are behaving remarkably similarly, here.
