Blatant 'Zinn' show off thread

Re: Zinn

Well done on a great bargain like Carl said.
Did you get the original toeclips and tyres that I gave to Mike when he collected it?

Re:

It was a very good price. I was surprised that nobody else bid for it.

I got the grey toe clips but no other tyres. Maybe he kept them for his Z-753?

Had a couple of Zinn-relevant pick ups recently including some original promo material etc supplied with a Trailerbike bought in 1993

A great read thanks Roly.

What really impressed me was the fact, that she hasn't faltered in her conviction at all, here we are in 2019 and shes still going strong, her bikes are selling and she made a career from something shes always been passionate about.

What really did it for me, was looking at her modern bike she rides today. All the ingredients of her Andy Thompson Zinn are still there, the most obvious being the segmented front fork.

I guess, if its light, and strong, and rides really well, how can you improve on it. Nearly 30 years and even with all the technology, the advances in material and design, and its still cant be improved upon.

Re:

Great thread

Once I sort out a new photo hosting site I’ll post a pic of my recent pickup . Is a Blue “Mick Gray “ badged Zinn

Andy

Wowee, yeah! Any info on the cranks? I have the Cross/700c version of that IslaBikes branded frame (same plate seatstay brace) waiting for something :)

I remember Andy T saying he made them but don't know much else
