black or white or... color advice needed

Hey, i plan to build my unidentified hodaka 1996 frame. M950 goes to kona exp. It's black now but I'd like to paint it to white. My mate can make it for free of charge. NOS RS MAG 21, XTR M900 and silver parts will be added. Does M900 mach with white? I guess it would be better on color frame (eg on my ice red trek 930 but xtr on 930...). I've never had a white one. I've attached some pics.

I do not want to keep it black as stumpy is that color with the DX set.
I have red, blue, green bike as well.

Any idea on color? Does anybody have M900 on white frame?
