BoTM Bike of The \Month November 2024 "European Special" now taking entries

Bike of The Month
Anyone care to share their wisdom of European brands - I'm struggling to think of many and convince myself that they are definitely European!
Search for the French MTB and the Italian MTB threads. Wealth of stuff

@Sergio1069 @danaroby00 @kingoffootball have sone peaches - @kingoffootball has a collection and I wish he’d enter at least one
I don't have any that are currently complete bikes 😬 I could try to get one of the Scapins built up, but recently I've been working more on my motorbike. I'll think about whether I could find time and worthy components before the end of the month.

Now one of your Scapins - finished, I’d Love to see!!!! Make it happen man!! 😂

I have a 1985 Peugeot Orient Express, with a lugged frame, that I picked up at a thrift store for $10 about 10 years ago. It’s still scratched up as found. I’ve ridden it a lot on trail rides and it reminds me of my Schwinn klunkers. The problem is it’s not really a European bicycle. It’s made by Panasonic in Japan. I like this bike and have replaced the chain, cogs, one chainring and the rear roller cam brake. This is the only mountain bike I have that’s branded as European. I once had an early 1990s Bianchi I bought new for my son but it was junk quality. I sold it to a neighbor after it wore out in two years.

Since this month's theme fits and the company sits just around the corner, I'll add this to mix.

I've had the frameset in the workshop for a few years and then built it up with parts from my stash. I only bought new cable housing and (recently) pink grips.
