BoTM Bike of The Month December 2024, now taking entries

Bike of The Month
After such beautiful bikes, only an idiot would enter a GT Timberline.

So here I am 😄

PhillB's re-imagined 1989 GT Timberline - apart from full repaint and restoration it is loaded with as many XT and GT bits as I could get my hands on. It also is so heavy, NASA have asked if they can use it for the Artemis Moon Mission.

Why??? I am a sucker for a chain stay U-brake... and I had a lot of fun with this build.

That 'just built' look.

If only the rules were on page 1

Hmmm...#17?
Thanks. Yes, I don't know how to think about rule 17 & my frame. All the components are vintage (still looking for a regina oro or a Shimano 600 chain for a decent price) BUT the JBX1 is a unique model, now in Smithonian museum....So, the 2 ways to compete there were : 1) Go in America & steal it 2) Make a new one following Joe Breeze plans....
