Big blokes on Carbon?

I've had different Easton bars on a few bikes now. I'm pretty impressed with the EC90 CNT SLs. I was 13.5 stone when I started using them. Will be getting another set for the Whyte Carbon when (if :evil: ) it arrives.

The EC70 post I have is crap. The headbolt loosens constantly and drives me mad. This was a 2006 model. The latest EC90 post head is different.

I'd never buy "cheap" / unbranded carbon. I just wouldn't trust the test and manufacturing...and it would probably be no lighter.

However, for your bike there can be only one choice of seatpost

I am only 5'10 and 17st... I do mma - and rugby for many years.. sadly turning to fat around the midriff (increasingly hard at 35 to keep it under control!!)

I have an S works M5 frame (small) and USE ATOM carbon bars, and USE carbon sumo seatpost - 27.2 shimmed upwards, as I bought it before USE even made the SpecialiSed correct siSe... woods carbon bar ends - and Pace C type racing forks (100mm).

No problems with any of it - and yes, used as god intended in the Highlands as well as south downs. No worries.

Use it as its supposed to be. If its broke, then feck it, get more!

Did think about getting one of Mr Eriksens' seatposts but i'm going to give one of these height adjust ones a go i think. My mate has a pure racing i900 and loves it. He is riding an Intense 5.5 though and i don't generally feel the need to lower my post whilst riding so maybe......
