I’ve been offered a Bianchi Titanium Martini frame for €500 or frameset €600
It’s a beauty but I had to turn it down as there’s a repair done - allegedly professionally - on the bottom bracket - just wanted your thoughts as to value / price it should be going for - personally I wouldn’t splash out a lot of coin on a repaired frame but others may differ.

They are - and I can imagine it with FRM cranks - Tune bits and some other choice parts - I was tempted but with a repair at the bottom bracket in such a vital join - I couldn’t risk

Don't blame you mate, not at that steel price, it's kind of gamble I consider taking when the item is priced half of that!

Shame as it's real eye catcher, and a real bank account drained too lol

Yes if it was in the region if £250 I’d take a punt as if it cracks on a ride I’ll be in hospital. But with out a drained bank acc

So if it were say £250? Would you? I’m tempted to ask the offerer - as I cannot ever imagine paying this amount for a repaired frame - I guess if it had papers and warranty from the menders and there was more substantial info regarding the repair then I guess one can make an informed decision

I would certainly say no more than that... In fact I would be pushing for sub £200 and see where things go from there.

Oddly enough I nearly bought one of these for cheap, around 2 years ago. Just can't remember why I didn't now :facepalm:

I would, fork is nice. But as Mynchiboy says; try and get it super low, he probably counter with an offer, can only say no. Or other expletive!

I’ve sent him a message offering 200 and explaining why - I wouldn’t ever risk this on a rough trail - I can imagine a hard uphill pedalling - a loud crack - crash - and waking up minus a pair of bollocks 2 weeks in hospital
