Bianchi SUPER GL rear shock question

Hope everyone is doing well.

I recently picked up a 1997 Bianchi Super GL frame. Beautiful bike.
Is anyone familiar with it?

Don't know much about them and info is scarce on the web.

Does anyone know the size needed (eye to eye) of the rear shock?

It came with a Marzocchi "The Judge" that I'm sure wasn't original to the bike. Seems to have an eye to eye of 6.5". When I remounted the shock it just doesn't look right. The shock is super close to the frame.

I can post pictures if it would help.

Yes, that looks pretty close. Mine had a cane creek ad10 that didn’t last. Put on a fox vanilla float r that works good. Same spacing at 6.5”. Looks like that big diameter coil spring not really right for that app.
