Hello Guys!

Can you help me to find more informations about this old Bianchi bike, please?
Do you have catalog? Year?

On the Mavic rims, there are 2 "Championnat du Monde professionnel" stickers. Do you have more informations about it? the bike has participated in world championships?

Thank you so much! ;)

Re:

Thank you so much for yours replies and informations.
It would be a Gitane TourdeFrance, or Olympic, or Champion Du Monde model...

Yep, Gitane :), thanks, I thought it looked wrong when I typed it lol
No problem. I found it in the trash ;)

And for the "Championnat du Monde Professionnel" stickers on the Mavic rims?
Do you have any ideas?
Do you think that the bike rode on this competition?

No, "Championnat du Monde Professionnel" is simply a rim name. The range of Mavic rims from that is a little confusing - the main range was Monthlery with some six (I think) rim styles varying in shape and weight, and then there were a number of rim styles under the Montlery (note no 'h') name, one of which carried "Championnat du Monde Professionnel" labels and was often used by companies who supplied complete bikes.
Mavic and other rim manufacturers named some of their rim styles from the events won by riders using the rims - in much the same way as car companies use 'World Rally Champion" or 'European Car of the Year' - it doesn't mean that the particular bike or wheels won or even completed in the event.

I've never seen a Bianchi with a head badge which didn't contain some form of the company's eagle crest. Having said that, it looks like a rather nice frame.
