Nice but personally I kind of preferred the Bfe, not sure if it's something to do with the brand.

Fair enough. I really like my BFe but it was so small / specialist that it didn't get ridden all that often. Because this is bigger and more of an all rounder I'm hoping that I'll use it more.

Yeah, I can definitely see where you're coming from. I've just built up something similar to your Bfe size wise and it's not going to be ideal for all day rides etc. I do a lot of dirt jumping though so will work a treat for that!

Not knocking the build, looks good and sure it'll ride well too :D

No offence taken buddy.

If I was more into jumping, I'd probably have hung on to it. Actually, if I hadn't tried to ride it on a normal ride and rediscovered my love of hardtails I'd have kept the BFe.

The weather on Sunday doesn't look too bad so hopefully I'll get out in it for a bit.

Sounds good, Sunday is going to be the only day for getting out I reckon!

I have a feeling I will end up riding my Dartmoor on normal stuff and then chopping in my XC bike for something similar...maybe a large Bfe!

Just seen that Cannock is closed due to the number of tress down, although they are working to clear them for the weekend. Downside is that it's howling a gale again right now. It's the only local place that kind of deals with the rain reasonably well.

Dartmoor's are lovely bikes.

Just stay in bed and moan about the weather mate! That's what I intend to do!

Had enough of getting wet this week!

I think I may well take that approach! The wind has been pretty savage the last few days too.

Can you do me a small favour? :D
Can you tell the BB height on yours(floor to centre of BB bb please).
I only ask as its a similar style of bike to the Tomac i'm building for my son, which is wearing 24" wheels and has a bb height of 285mm, i'm just trying to make sure its 'high' enough :D

Cheers

Mike

First ride on the Stanton tonight. Nothing major just mucking about at Sandwell Valley due to.it dealing with the wet weather better than Cannock.

I'm a happy bunny. It rides really well...it feels much lighter and more playful than the BFe and size wise it's much better. The forks are great, a bit divey but super, super smooth. Looking forward to taking it on a longer ride.

Oooh that looks ace.
Bugger though. My Bfe has been a bit stodgy and been swapping out bits to feel righf i was hoping that swapping silly heavy wheels would do it. I even bought a Kinesis decade for its sweet light handling. On paper the Bfe is only 5 and half pounds. Feels great downhill though. Hmm a few bikes to complete before I build another!!
