I assume your going for clear ceramic over a repolish? Im my experience the clear is not as tough as the colours....also the non baked version us not as durable as the baked on....
I have a lot of stuff ceramic coated and most is clear over a colour as it ups the shine a bit and adds another layer of protection.
I do wonder if the cranks were tumbled prior to anodising in the factory, rather than full polish....it seems a lot of work for a mass produced item to polish to that level before anodising.....as i said above.
