Best kids' mtb

I bought my son a Specialized Hotrock. It's great bar the front suspension which is crap and a pointless waste of time. I've bee thinking about a custom fork for it which would remove 18 lbs of pig iron off the front end.
I'd probably go for an Isla bike next time.

Best 24"
24" wheeled GT Zaskar. These we're made for two years in the mid 90's one yr as a frame and fork kit one year as a complete bike. Back in the day when Shimano was sponsoring a Youth Series at all the NORBA and Grundig races. I picked this one up from a shop owner when it was 10yrs old NOS still had GT's original wrappings on it. My daughter is moving up to a 14.5 Zaskar now and this one may be headed down the road to someone else.
28 holes Ritchey/Deore wheels the rest is LX/XT.
