Best ever cycling related purchase?

Without any doubt, this couple of beauties (the carbon one has been already built),

Shimano SPuDs, transformed riding for me and have been on every bike I have owned since (not the same set obviously! :D )

A Lyzene puncture repair kit. Always keep one in my wallet, came in handy last week, I stopped and fixed a gurlies puncture

Proper knight in shining armour me.

Difficult, the first major one was my GT Outpost Trail which
12 years ago restored my love of cycling after years of s**t
Raleigh bikes. Also fixed an itch from my BMXing days when I so
wanted a GT !

Best bargain is obviously the 'ropey wreck' I bought from the Police
auctions for £29 which turned out to be a 1994 GT Zaskar.

my best purchase is a pair of seal skin waterproof socks - can stand having cold wet feet

Hi Albertino

You need too get these posted in the road section on retrobike
these look lovely frames. I thought I was was lucky with my find but you have come across too great examples.

Have you got any pics of the Calfee Carbon

Cheers

Tim

Easy, my first pair of clipless pedales (purple carbon Look pedales, about 20 yers ago). The biggest improvement ever. Huge change from the old toe-clips.

AS above, or maybe my lightweight Pace top that I sold here recently. It was an excellant bit of kit that performed really well on those windy moor-tops, whether cycling or burying the bodies.
