Barry Hoban road bikes

Swung by my local second hand shop (or is that junk) to see if they had any more flexstems in.

No flexstems but they had a Barry Hoban road bike. Lugged 531, made my coventry eagle, mostly low end looking simplex bits. The fellow told me it was 'worth £2K' but I could have it for £75. So kind but I had to refuse.

Anybody know of these? Or are they just a branding excercise?

Bee-Zarre!! I just bought a Barry H. frame and fork for me landlord ( he's a nice guy ) and he's currently restoring it!

A friend I lived with at college in the mid 80s had a 'Barry Hoban' that sounds very similar, cost about £350 new if I remember correctly.

Seemed an ok bike but I wouldn't be rushing to buy one even at £75 unless it had some interesting bits.
