Bargain 1 1/4" threaded headsets...

Ah, thats you of course isnt it.

Can you be un bias and say which is actually the better headset? The NOS stronglight or your very good one?

I will see what I end up buying from my watched items this week first but a new headset is on my list of needs for my cannondale, but the saracens list is longer!!!!

None bias view

The stronglight, it's new, excellent races and are quality headsets.
The other has dirt and is used and costs more. (though the same on here)
It should be quite easy to decide.
Only problem is if you need to fit a canti hanger, though getting a 1 1/4" one of them is a job in itself. I would then swing towards the Tange, but get pictures of the races cleaned up ;)

you'll need to make sure you have enough fork steerer for either setup though,.

There is a nice 1 1/4" Syncros stem, no noodle though if you needed it, on the bay at the moment as well.

NOS/new will nearly always be better than used as you never know how many miles a used item has on it.

I will post some cleaner pic's though.

Thanks for responses.

I faced the problem of canti hangars a while ago and got round it by fitting Vbrakes. Sorted!

I have a stem on the bike and forks and the original headset is ok, I just remember when I first bought it (last year) that the headset felt "gravely" so I cleaned it all out and put new bearings in and its OK, but only OK, I know it is something that I need to fix one day, but as said its partway down a long list!

That stem on e bay looks good, but whoever buys the rather nice M1000 frame off of the same seller might need it!
