Azonic DS1 powder-coat colour

So finally got round to start building my Azonic DS1, stripped and started rubbing it down for a rattle can tart up but soon realised its worse than i thought, got a quote for £50 for strip and powder coat, so thats the route i’m taking, my dilema is, do i have it standard gloss black or i was thinking a satin slate grey for something a little different, have fresh decals to be applied, wondering what the old skool concesus is?? cheers

That looks great. I bought one new DS1 frame from CRC in 2006 ish, in Black. Have fun building it up.

Cheers i’m really pleased with it, powder coaters have made a cracking job, yes i had one myself years ago, got lots of tasty bits i’ve been collecting to build it up!

So i raided the parts bin to improve on the build as a wasn't entirely happy, ditched the MRP, changed to RaceFace dues cranks, lower rise gold Zonic bars and X pedals, King headset, Sram xo rear mech to match the shifter, happier now and rides really well
