so i have a mate who needs a car collecting. I own a third of a car trailer but not a car suitable to tow with, so i borrow one off a good friend. Day starts well, breakfast en route to the trailer, good chat and good music.

Get to trailer, check lights, none, fix, all good. Mental note not to lend trailer out. Hitch up and check hitch. rock and roll. Drive steady as borrowed car and been a while since last towing. No rush, all day.

5 miles later, disaster struck - somehow the trailer came free of the tow ball AND the chain. panic. slam on brakes so trailer hits me and me only.

shock gets me shaking at the thought of what could have been. Thank your god that nobody was walking down the road.

Plans abandoned. need to get my mates audi driveable for work tomorrow. tail light smashed, bumper a mess and tail gate wont open. Hammers, new bulbs, tape, crow bar. car works again. Make the call, better than expected.

home. mate comes round, "nobody hurt, its just metal. all good" promise to replace panels and make good (£400 plus down and nothing achieved)

next job, move my sister's car. i am helping her sell it. no room on my drive due to borrowed car above so left near work. Scrotes have vandalised it overnight . 3wiper arms and 2 mirrors.. gutted, more expense.

next, mate calls. car failed mot, needs it off the street - room at mine?? not really, will move beetle shell, sorted. 3 friends, carefull life, crunch, shell folds in half. totally gutted.

one of those days where you just wish you could wake up and it was all a dream

( i realise there are people out there going through far worse, just wanted to vent!)

i once jumped out of the works van wrong because i was in a hurry...it destroyed my ankle..cost me my job,...gave me 2 blood clots and a pulmanary embolisem that kills 98 percent of people who get them ..plus i had 2 years of pain and a whole crate of warferine shot in me to stop me from dying...the ankle is fine now...im just cursed with a strange outlook on life now...ho hum..wanna swap/// :p

I refer the esteemed gentleman to the last paragraph of my first post
