"Aurora" Mountain Klein

The Klein Technical Manual mentions the ability to reposition the spindle/axle up to (I think) 3mm to accommodate chainline. Good luck with your build.
Are you talking about the XTR reference? Presumably you could position the spindle anywhere (within reason) and just let the loctite do its work? Still going to need the proper tools and that's quite an investment give it's a one off job. :(

On a positive note though I did pick up the wheel yesterday and finished it off this evening; 30 years in the making... IMG_7459.webp IMG_7458.webp

Re:

What do you think?

Still need to finish the cabling and put the pedals on. Waiting for a canti yoke cable and some shim washers from SJS Cycles but once that's done I'm at a standstill and it goes back into hibernation! IMG_7488 (2).webp

Some of my mountainbiking friends from the early days probably helped build that. They were long-term Klein employees until the business was sold to Trek.
"Tenino" Bob probably welded it and Dave may well have painted it - I remember him telling me that his two favourite paint schemes to do were Storm and in his early days Aurora.

I'll see if I have some photos of them (on trips to Moab) somewhere.
