My take on it is essentially Milazo is a well-known “entry level” (read commuter) MTB brand in NZ / Australia (?) that sold a lot of mass market bikes to those who simply needed a bike to get to school. Being unkind it is a step down from Avanti but sitting a level above department store bikes. Unlike Avanti who produce a very wide range of bikes all fit for purpose from entry level mountain biking to fruity race machines in addition to a full road range, track bikes even designing custom team bikes for our Olympians over the years, Milazo never had that street cred or authenticity…
So at some stage in the early nineties I can only assume they wanted to raise their stakes in this mountain biking fad thing.
I believe Extreme was a performance sub division of Milazo who at the time arguably had a similar model range target as Avanti.
The Attitude was their Pinnacle of the Extreme range.
