Asymetric Chainstays Retro Kona

Hi Folks

Could anyone tell me whether a 1993 Kona Cindercone would have asymetric chainstays?

I built up a wheel, trued it central to the hub then fitted it in the frame and noticed that it wasn't central in the stays.

Is this normal or are the stays bent? There's no sign of a bend??

Thanks
Matt

Put the wheel in the other way around. If the rim's now offset to the other side, it's the wheel. If it's still offset to the same side, it's the frame.

I'll give that a go.

I can true the wheel so that it runs central in the seat stays but the wheel is slightly off centre on the chain stays. This is not by a huge amount maybe 3 - 5mm.

By accident maybe, but certainly not by design !

Check as above post to see whether it's the wheel or the frame that's out.
If it's the frame you can cold-set it easily enough to restore alignment.
