Are there any decent 29er rims for v brakes these days?

I'm pondering converting one of my 26er bikes to a rigid 69er, but would prefer to keep using v-brakes if possible (I'd have a custom fork built if necessary).

I remember seeing some brands offering 29ers with V-brakes a few years ago, but are there actually any decent 29er rims still available for use with v brakes?

Re:

Sorry to but in but are the 29" rims just 700c rims then. It has been in my mind as to how close they were to each other.

I've used Mavic Ksyrium wheels with 29er tyres without any problem, aside having to put spacers (hubs have 130 mm spacing instead of 135).

However, DT trekking/cx rims are the best compromise. Otherwise, just choose the widest road rims you find

Re:

A lot of people use Mavic Open Pros, see Don McClung bikes and the like.

But yeah, any 700c rim. Touring rims if you want something wider and stronger.

Re:

This is something I have been pondering too, nice to see that road rims are fine.
If you want to be a little bit 'out there' you could maybe get deep section road rims. As long as you can get tubes with valves long enough
