Are Hope freehubs backwards compatible?

Doubt it, they use a different pawl mechanism send HOPE an email to chack though. I've never had one to try.
and you might have bearing problems even if you do manage to somehow make it fit.
Ti-Glide up to XC/Mono all use the same style freehub body.

Looking at them both the newer style is a wider diameter at the pawls than the old. (ignore the large seal)
