As ever, a shortlist was compiled based on the principle that it had to be steel with a rigid fork, everything else is simply wrong. My Saracen was booted out as I already have it in the man cave and the "which bike would bring me the most glee each time I opened the man cave door to take a bike out for a thrash?" test was applied and there could only be one choice:
