Anyone into classic cars

That's pretty cool, my dad had Volvos :(.

Mine's a pre-facelift '91 saloon. I was looking for one for around a year that was solid enough, I've got enough projects already where I'm just chasing rust. It's a low spec GL, so I'd like to upgrade the interior loom and fit all the top spec electrical equipment at some point. My best bet is probably going to be to find a rotten donor car I think, it would cost a small fortune to buy everything individually.

Thanks for the brochure link, not one I've seen before and I love nerding out over original specs and facts and figures.

My car is all orginal and I try to keep it that way. It has done 44.000km. It feels and looks like the car in the brochure. I think the GL spec car in mainland Europe sat somewehere between GL and Ghia in UK. My first Ford experience was my dad's Sierra 1.3 Custom in 1982. It looked like a car from the future. After 1 or 2 years Ford dropped the 1.3. It had only 60hp.

What's wrong with a classic volvo! Carry bikes without even removing the wheels, sleep in them at races! Perfect....😉
I love a lot of Volvo's, especially an estate. Sadly the best my Dad had in the 80s/90s is a 340, but it was the little 1.3 engined one. You couldnt sleep in that so comfortably. A small engined 440 was among the underpowered culprits.

Mine was slightly messed about with when I got it (Scorpio seats and door cards) so i dont feel too bad in adding bits from the brochure.
