Anyone here racing old road bikes?

Something I do occasionally... time trials on retro bikes... mostly on a 1964 Moulton with some cheaty bits.. ie tri bars I would be interested in hearing from others who do this sort of thing..
Always amusing beating riders who are on 17lb superbikes

I did for a couple of seasons, mainly because I knew that I wasn't going very fast and riding an old bike would be a good 'excuse'!

Here's a couple of photos to prove it.

This one was in 2009 riding my MKM Ultimate - can't believe it was that long ago!



Next one is from 2012 on one of my Dave Russell machines. A chilly day in May in Lincolnshire hence the 'long shorts'.



Needless to say, neither ride was in any danger of beating (or even slightly approaching!) competition record. :roll:

raced the pace and fuquay at the local xc/enduro/cx races and they are well recieved with most whom "get it". mayhem was a selection of bikes, all old

the look on folks faces when you zip past them is great, and the chats as they overtake me are good too, surprising how many had or wanted xyz back in the day
