any Forest Of Dean riders from the early to mid 90s here?

I rode for Revolutions Bike Shop and then Royal Dean Forest CC between 1991 and 1995,

any other riders from that area/period on here?

went there in 1993, great memories...... remember a place called lightmoor? like a dis used mining area or something with loads of jumps/drops etc!

yeh Lightmoor is all closed off now, lots of mtb specific tracks now built around Peddleaway,

I went on a mtb'ing holiday there is '93, broke my collar bone there, been meaning to go back and settle that score with the place

This was one of the first places I dabbled with what I would have classed back in the day as downhill

From memory you could ride along the ridge then drop in :?

Tame by todays riding but with a 21'' bike, 48mm of travel and a 150mm stem it seemed a whole lot steeper :shock:

I remember spending hours at that place on a particular day when freezing fog descended :shock: still an hour from where we had left our parents it was ACE riding back as the fog thickened.

Alas parents were not impressed
