Any bikes, frames, brands, parts that are above reproach?

I still remember pointing out that Jones to you Ed at ssuk and you just calmly stated " they look shit " and he was about 2 meters away from you

Ah yes, one of my more diplomatic moments....

Still, Jones must be the ne plus ultra of Emperor's New Clothes bikes - I mean, you're not going to drop £7k on one and then say "actually, it's not all that".

The chap at the singlespeed race didn't

For 7k you could convince anyone that any old crappy geometry was the height of excellence , you wouldn't argue with someone who could charge that for a frame .

" No really a 65degree head angle is the best "

" hmm handles a bit strange "

" well that's because you've been riding cheap 3k frames "

" oh , good point . I guess I'll have one then "

'Shopper for choppers'

Very true, every manufacturer has made a dog at some point - well most have.

I'd say that Off Road Toads go close to being unquestioned if only because hardly anyone can say they've owned or ridden one.

have to agree with just a slight clarification:

no brand is beyond reproach, though certain frames/bikes definitely are beyond reproach.

don't ask me to name them :p

Assuming you were unable to specify a time period have to (mostly) agree there.
Possible exception i guess would be something fairly niche like Pegoretti. Unlike sportsmen bike companies rarely have the 'luxury' of retiring at the top.

Oh and I agree with Ed,those Jones bikes are awful!

The styling is unconventional for sure. Would be really intruiged to ride one though.
