Any bikes, frames, brands, parts that are above reproach?

Now I am a nice fella that doesn't like to have a pop at people, but I do have to say....... Specialized! dear oh dear oh dear!! shakes head walks away. :(

Don't worry I did the same...

DMR stuff well beyond reproach imho, not that retro but steel hardtails and soon to be skinwall tyres too, albeit with dirt tread but its a start.

first name that comes to my head is Phil Wood, anyone out there who can prove me wrong ;) :?:

others:
- Steve Potts
- Grove/Groovy
- Chris King
- Merlin
- Rohloff
- Thomson
- XTR M900 (but NOT shimano as a brand so guess this doesn't count)

All these seems to build stuff with quality in mind first all the rest comes later

I would say anything that has been ridden to a win in a world class title has shown it's worth and purpose and in that criteria cannot be fnah-fnahrd.

Of course that doesn't always translate to everyday use, where it'll probably be annoying, not so good to ride, wear quickly, the wrong colour or doesn't have a designer name to it ;)

Or the rider had to ride around the problems and still won because he was superior to the opposition not his bike! ;)

DMR, Specialized... oh please

I think people are just posting this stuff to see if we're paying attention!!
It's the only possible explanation.

I've rumbled you lot!! ;)

Well, I had a Phil Wood hub that went rusty in a few weeks of our British weather. The hub was darned good, but the plating was rubbish.
