Andy Powell / Overburys 531 road bike

Very striking! How do you find the Modolo/Sachs levers? I really like how they look but find the curve isn't the most comfortable!

Also +1 for the Loudon Wainwright name, great album 😜
I really like the levers, but can imagine they wouldn’t be suitable for all bar types/positions. I think they work here because the Middlemore bar has a track type sweep to it, so the pronounced asymmetry of the lever hoods places the hand correctly. They came from my father in law’s 90s triathlon bike, as did the mechs on this bike. Using them was the motivation behind building up this bike…

Good spot on the username - I’ve been a LWiii fan for years, yet to find a way to actually work it into a build though.

Here's the re-renovated renovated by Andy Powell bike that was up for sale on this forum. Just finished putting it back together and took it for a shakedown cycle this morning, picture is the obligatory proof it has returned to bristol. Some fettling needing doing including returning a few links to the chain and cable trimming, but I'm pleased enough to share

Nice work, love the almost track rake on the forks.

Funnily enough I was in almost the exact same spot last weekend when I visited my sister who lives in Bristol. Admittedly storm Darragh made it a bit windy for deep rims.
