Andy Powell / Overburys 531 road bike

Hi all,

Thought I’d share some photos of my Andy Powell build. Acquired the frame in lockdown and had most of the parts knocking about - sorry to any purists for the mix of eras! Seems to have been a custom order, and not the original fork - hence the spacers. I’d say its an 80s frame with a (very) 90s paintjob. Cinelli bb, oddly placed second set of bottle bosses, nice lugwork.

Nice . The set of bottle bosses under the downtube is typical of a touring frame.

Very nice indeed. What makes you say it’s a later paint job?

Sorry, not clear from these photos but it’s a 531 ‘respray’ decal on the seat tube. Also the frame is drilled for old style caliper fitting whilst the fork takes the modern recessed type.

Very striking! How do you find the Modolo/Sachs levers? I really like how they look but find the curve isn't the most comfortable!
