And today I did......

At least you didn't need to do a ghetto fix like I did at the weekend :) ....

Car goes in on monday to get the broken accelerator pedal replaced, if the part arrives in time.

That non-OEM part will last longer than the rest of the car - marine grade plywood as opposed to the toffee VW use for all there parts.

The "hinge" on the pedal is simply a thinner part of the same plastic (PP) the rest of the pedal is molded from, anyone can take a piece of plastic and bend it till it snaps.
Yet another VW item with a lifespan less than that of a normal cars life, to replace this piece of toffee will cost £85 plus fitting as VW only supply the complete electronic pedal as a whole and not the cheap wearable parts on their own.

That is the part number for the pedal if anyone has one kicking about :)

That's steep! What's it out of?

Touran - or Caddy of same age - I'm sure the caddy will be cheaper but I can't get the caddy price as they used my car details to find the part, I'm hoping my local (very good) garage will be able to source it less via the trade route.

well i've got a set of blue l & m cranks on the way for the univega :D just need a use shim for the seatpost and the dunkers build's done :D
